PNW Honeymoon – Camping and hiking with minimal supplies

My fiancé and I are traveling to the PNW for our honeymoon July 2021. We are taking about 7 days to travel between the North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park, and Mount Rainier National Park. We plan to camp in each of the parks at campsites and hike during our stay. Between parks we will be staying in Seattle and Portland to get cleaned up and ready for the next one and also explore.
Because we will be flying from Alabama with limited supplies, we are planning on purchasing some gear once we land and donating/giving it away before returning.
We are so excited, but very nervous because we have never been to the PNW before. We’ve been camping before but doing so with such little supplies is a little nerve racking. Any tips and tricks welcomed!

  • Rent the gear. Tons of places in that area of the US will rent out a full set of gear and think through all the details of what you need for a baseline.

Call ahead to make sure it has everything you need, but you’ll probably have to bring your own food, hygiene stuff (tp, toothbrush/toothpaste, etc.), etc.
